Sofia Times Media

Sofia Times Media (STM) is the media and digital storytelling project of Redemption Voice Canada. It was created to give a voice to Frenchspeaking immigrants, with a particular focus on Black individuals and communities from immigration backgrounds. 

The project features personal testimonies, constructive conversations, practical guidance, and topics rooted in the everyday experiences of newcomers and members of the francophone diaspora.

Born out of a real and observed need, Sofia Times Media exists to better represent these communities, share their realities, and support their integration. 

The platform offers an accessible space where people can tell their stories, speak openly about their challenges, celebrate their achievements, and access information that helps them navigate life in their new environment.

Impact

Sofia Times Media plays a dual role as both a space for expression and a tool for integration.

 It offers a safe, welcoming environment where voices are heard and valued, while also providing useful information, relatable journeys, and educational content.

Through its work, STM helps individuals better understand their surroundings and feel supported in their integration process which contributes to more informed, and more connected communities.

Today, Sofia Times Media continues to grow as a community driven media project, using storytelling to inform, uplift, and connect.
